Back from PhotoshopWorld and it was a great time. I got to hang out with some great people, learn various lighting and studio techniques from Eddie Tapp and the Canon guys and see new products. Adobe announced the announcement of Creative Suite 4 to be held on September 23rd, make sure you register for that, it looks HUGE.
This PhotoshopWorld was also very interesting for mkeefeDESIGN. We had the chance to develop a video kiosk for PhotoshopCafe.

This kiosk was built using the Adobe AIR runtime and Adobe Flash, you can read more about the project on my portfolio.
While in Vegas I also took some time to photograph some things and once I get a moment I will post those to flickr. For now, I intend to catch up on work and get some much needed sleep.
I have been pretty busy these past few weeks, but wanted to ensure I didn’t forget about mentioning PhotoshopWorld, which will be in Las Vegas this September (4-6). I know you can still purchase tickets and would be awesome to meet up with some people.
If you do attend, be sure to stop by the PhotoshopCafe booth and say hi.
I will be sure to write up a post-photoshopworld overview once I get back from the conference. If all goes well, I will also have video and photos from the show floor for people that can’t make it.
Update: Colin Smith of PhotoshopCafe has just posted a detailed overview of Lightroom 2.
Just in time for PhotoshopWorld in Orlando, Adobe has released a public beta for Adobe Lightroom 2. This new version really has a lot of great features to offer, which include advanced filtering, better photoshop integration and faster importing/storing.

The coolest and most advanced feature would have to be localized adjustments. I have only started to touch on this feature since I downloaded it, but let me just say it is both amazing and super useful.
I will be giving Lightroom 2 (LR2) a run in the real world this week while I am on a pretty amazing photography trip, which I will be sure to blog about in depth when I return. Also, if you happen to be at PhotoshopWorld this week head on over to PhotoshopCafe’s booth where you can pick up some Lightroom, Photoshop and Flash video training.
Note: I will not be blogging for about 2 weeks starting Friday, but will return with new stuff.
