NBC Direct, missed the memo

Well NBC decides to leave iTunes, roll there own video player and then thinks a non cross-browser/os applciation is going to take off?

Then to top it off they used Windows Media Player to distribute the video? I am going to pass on this one even though I do have the PC if needed.

They could have used Flash/AIR and created a great app, but instead you get this:

Do you owe someone a beer?

foamee.pngFoamee helps track who you owe beers to (and vice versa)

Learn how (need a Twitter account, but who doesn’t have one of those)

This is a pretty neat concept built by Dan of SimpleBits.

Go check it out and start sending beers. :)

3D Browser with AIR and Papervision3D

Lee Brimlow has developed a fully interactive 3D browser using Adobe AIR and Papervision3D. The app surprisingly runs very smooth on my Mac and overall is very cool.

I hope to get some free time soon to work with PV3D but for now I just look at the cool apps being built with it.
